The park
Much more than a cable car
Opened in 1912, the Sugarloaf cable car was the first in Brazil. Today, the cabins take visitors from Praia Vermelha to Urca Hill and, from there, to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.
Urca Hill has viewpoints, the end of the trail and Embaixada Carioca. Sugarloaf Mountain offers a 360-degree panorama of Rio. Allow 3 to 5 hours for the full visit with a meal.
